スプロケットメーカーならではの対策品を開発

一部のKawasaki Zシリーズのフロントスプロケット用ロックワッシャーは、回り止めの役割を果たすスプライン形状が無い丸孔の内径に、フロントスプロケットに差し込んで回り止めの役割を果たす小さなツメ形状があります。このツメは駆動トルクなどの振動により折れてしまうことが多く、スプロケットナットが緩んでしまうことがあります。またワッシャーがフラットな為、スプロケットナットの壁面に沿わせる様に折り曲げる作業がしにくい形状でした。

「ダブルアームロックワッシャー」は、回り止め用ツメを改良。ツメ幅を広くして2か所に増やし強度を大幅に上げました。同時にワッシャー外周部に工具で掴みやすい形状にすることで、作業性を大幅に向上させました。

これによりスプロケットはダブルアームワッシャー専用品になりましたが、従来通り純正ロックワッシャーも使用できる様にしてあります。

Innovative Solutions from a Sprocket Specialist

Addressing the weak points of OEM lock washers with a specialized design.

On certain Kawasaki Z-series models, the OEM front sprocket lock washer features a round inner diameter rather than a splined one. To prevent rotation, it relies on a single, small integrated tab that fits into the sprocket. This tab is often prone to shearing off under the stress of drive torque and vibration, which can lead to the sprocket nut coming loose. Furthermore, because the standard washer is perfectly flat, bending it against the wall of the nut can be a cumbersome task.

To solve these issues, we have released the "Double Arm Lock Washer." ### Key Improvements:

Enhanced Durability: We redesigned the anti-rotation tabs, making them wider and increasing the count to two. This significantly boosts the component's overall strength and reliability.

Improved Workability: The outer circumference of the washer now features a shape that is easy to grip with tools, making the bending process much smoother and more efficient.

While this sprocket is now a dedicated component designed specifically for use with the Double Arm Lock Washer, it remains fully compatible with standard OEM lock washers, ensuring flexibility for the user.
