The only album released in 1972 by Midnight Circus, a folk rock unit formed around two then-unknown musicians, Christian Bollmann (vocals/guitar/tp) and Torsten Schmidt (vocals/guitar). The album features a bucolic yet dignified sound, ranging from folk rock with rich harmonies and beautiful, meloncholic melodies to dreamy ensemble featuring Mellotron, trumpet, and flute. Given the future of the band's members, this is an unreal work that could only have been produced in this era. Excellent original copy. It seems that member Christian Bollmann would become a renowned ethnomusicologist.
Christian Bollmann(vo/g/tp)とTorsten Schmidt(vo/g)による当時無名のミュージシャン2人を中心に結成されたFolk RockユニットMidnight Circusによる72年の唯一のアルバム。豊かなハーモニーとメロンコリックな美しいメロディのフォークロックからメロトロン、トランペット、フルートによる幻想的なアンサンブルまでどこか牧歌的ながら格式高いサウンドを全編で収録。メンバーの今後を見るとこの時代でしかなし得ない希有な作品。オリジナルの美品です。メンバーのChristian Bollmannが著名な民族音楽学者となるようです。
